Ranking Method

To determine the winner, I provide two different methods.  If groups have been provided, the cars can be ranked by group as well.

  1. Average – Car rank is determined by the average of 4 races.  The lowest average time is the winner.  Any car not crossing the finish line is given an automatic 7 second time.  In this method, DNF or one bad finish can significantly affect a car’s ranking.

  2. Fastest – Car rank is determined by the fastest (shortest time) of 4 races.  Only the shortest time is used.  Each car has 4 chances to get their best time.  Therefore, one bad race or DNF does not necessarily hurt a car’s chances of winning.
